SENTINEL Print Pack S/3 for SAP is a server based software program
designed to connect data from SAP to print bar code labels. Teklynx SENTINEL
Print Pack S/3 for SAP has been SAP Certified for connection to SAP via
the a Smart Forms interface. Quite simply the most advanced label
printing solution for SAP on the market today.
Why Smart Forms? Smart Forms are SAP's latest printing solution with an
easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the user to design forms
for printing or spooling. Smart Forms has three main uses; to print
business forms to a business printer, to output data for web publishing
real-time and to support external printing systems like SENTINEL Print
pack S/3 for SAP. Smart Forms sends structured data in the form of an XML
file when the spooling option is selected. Teklynx has utilized this data
stream per SAP's BC-XSF 4.6 specification to receive SAP certification.
HOW SENTINEL
WORKS
1. SAP Creates a
Data File.
The data file serves
two purposes:
a) it includes the variable information for bar code labels
b) it initiates the request to SENTINEL Print Pack S/3 for SAP

Data.
SENTINEL Print Pack
S/3 for SAP receives data by watching a directory for files/data sent
there from the host.

SENTINEL Processes the Data.
SENTINEL maps the
data to a label design based on a predefined configuration.

SENTINEL Prints the
Label.
Using the Teklynx CODESOFT
print engine, labels can be printed to any thermal or Windows printer
